How bad do you want it?
That is what you have to ask yourself. How bad do I want it? Whether it’s getting bigger and stronger, losing weight, getting a new car, new job, new house…etc!
When i was training for my bodybuilding show last year, I was working security in Berlin, Germany. I would work 12 hour shifts and didn’t have much time off. So I really had to plan my time effectively to get in my workouts and proper nutrition. I was working with a friend of mine who lives in Pittsburgh and we were doing some isometric training. More on that type of training later.Its really great stuff!
My buddy and I would chat via the internet and he would instruct me on the exercises to do while watching me on video via web cam. Isn’t technology great! Anyway I would have to get up a couple hours before work because of the time difference which in some cases was 3:30am to do a training session. I would train for about 30 min and then go work a 12 hour shift, then get home and go to the gym for an hour and usually got home around 9:30pm. Then I would go to sleep and then repeat. I did this consistently for about 3 months leading up to the show.
Yeah somedays I didn’t feel like doing it and would have to force myself but In the end it paid off, I had a much better physique on stage because of it and took 2nd place in my first ever bodybuilding show.You can see some photos in my gallery.
I wanted it bad, really bad and did whatever it took to get there
